Email Confirmation When Changing Email Address From the Edit Profile

Want to update your email address but keep your account secure? User Registration & Membership requires email confirmation whenever you change your email address from your profile. This tutorial will show you how to complete the email verification process.

Before getting started, make sure you have access to both your current email address and the new email address you want to use.

Changing Your Email Address

To update your email address, go to your My Account page and click the Edit Profile tab. Here, you'll see your current email address displayed in the User Email field.

Replace your current email address with your new email address, then click the Save button to save your changes.

Verifying Your New Email Address

Once you've saved your new email address, User Registration & Membership sends a confirmation email to your new address. This email contains a verification link that you must click to complete the email address change.

Here's what happens next:

Check the inbox of your new email address for a confirmation email from User Registration & Membership

Open the email and click the confirmation link

Once you click the link, your email address change is complete

Your email address change remains in pending status until you click the confirmation link. You must have access to the new email address to complete the verification process.
